YR 6 TRIP TO THE TATE MORDEN !!!!

On Wednesday 17 Th June yr 6 went to the Tate modern to work on there art.we were learning about cubism.When we got inside the Tate modern it was huge and there was art everywhere you looked.Before we look at cubism we meet are tour lady she was called Sarah and she knew all about cubism.Once we got in to the cubism department we could see loads of examples of cubism some were colourful and some were just dark but were still very interesting .We looked at all of the art them we had to sit in front of this huge piece of art hanging on the wall, it was the only piece of art hanging on the wall.We sat in front of it for a while then we had to try and think about what it was and what seemed strange about it .We all decided it was a plug but we can see it had changes to it.The plug was re-sized and re-coloured from a normal plug,the artist changed everything about the plug and used her own ideas.To warm us up we did a task where we thought of something in are lunch and we had to draw it then we had to write everything about it.After doing that we had to think of how we can change it just like how the other artist changed the plug.The best part of the Tate modern was drawing a model ,we got in to groups and we had to pick a model.We had to draw them how we would draw them then we had to change it.We had to go around the models head them over lap the models features going all around so everything would change places. Here comes the year 6 play!!!!!!!

Hi Year 6 are back from sunny Isle Of Wight. (Which was great!!!!!!!!)


Now the time has come for Year 6 to do their end of year play.
On the 9th of June we had our auditions for our school play we had all sorts of things like:

singing
saying poems
dancing and
play scripts


They all were very good.


That same day we had the Athletic trials and this is what we did:
long jump
high jump
throwing
100m
400m and
relay

After that Miss Benwell picked the top 3 in each event and handed them to Mrs Douglas and it was her decision which children would be going to the Athletic. The children are finding out on the 11th of June.

Year 6's school trip to the Isle Of Wight!!!

The Isle of Wight was a really nice experience for me and it nominated me for getting more enthusiastic towards everything I do.

On the 2Nd of June All Saints school went to the isle of wight and we waited in the playground and got all our stuff ready for the trip. after a long coach ride we got to the portsmouth d-day museum that was all about war when we got in we saw a small clip about war clips and we had a worksheet to fill in on the last bit of the museum .there was an exciting shop after we bought some things we had anther coach ride to the ferry port we had armwrestling tournament and after 30 minutes of that we arrived at the chestnuts hotel we got told our rooms and who we are sleeping with in a room. we had a good expirience at the isle of wight on the last day there was a disco that lasted 2 hours By Salih

it is now thursday and we are going on a long walk.after that we are having a disco.we have been doing lots of fun things that we really enjoyed. Our rooms are fantastic and so are our beds. Hannah

I am having fun doing peoples hair and make-up and working in groups to solve the quiz. I am also having fun with the people in my room and the beds are really comfortable. The breakfast is really nice especially the sausages and the roast chicken we had last night was scrumptious with the gravy. Candace

We went go-carting yesterday ith was so much fun and exciting, we each had two goes, after that Mrs Whitehead, Mrs Douglas and Miss Benwell had a go. It was so exciting. From Isis.

Go Carting

hi Lakeisha and Tasha here we are going to the beach, it is good weather, We are all wearing sun cream . We went to robin hill park today it was WICKED!!!!! We all when on the swinging ship 3 times! To day has been the best day so far. Emma said that the ship was cool because you felt like she was flyng and Alice said that after three times she felt sick. Zekiah said it was death stroking and was like chessinton world of adventures and was pretty good! Francesca says it was wicked and i loved it.

it has been brilliant here so far we all have enjoyed every minute of it!!! Yesterday we went to visit the Osborne house. It was really interesting and we walked around outside for most of it and it was lovely. Then at night we went bowling that was great fun! I was in a team with Georgina, Candace, Isis and Ashleigh. we had a great team and the highest scorer of the hole class was Candace she was good because she scored some strikes. its has been a great experience here and im glad I came.bye bye xxxxxhi ,

it's AshleighI’m having such a great time here the weather was not that great on Monday and Tuesday but today (Wednesday)it is extremely hot but I’m not complaining because every thing and every-one is really nice today we are going go carting and to the robin hill adventure park then we are going to the beach maybe and doing a quiz when I went to bowling my team was great we got the highest score of all .bye bye x x x x x x x x

Hi its Mejd.im having a great time in isle of Wight. its so much fun and we get along with people fine and everyone is happy. Im in a room with Micky and Ashleigh, they are good friends to have in my room and im happy with who I have, and there has been no problems at all. my best day would of been 4th June. because the start was not to fun only the bit when me and Samuel rolled down a wet hill and got soaked. at night we all went bowing and it was great. in my group there was, Micky ,Hannah, Tilda, Anayah and myself. Candace came first out of the class and I came second.that’s it from me ,see you soon.Bye xoxoxox

Hi its Micky,We are in isle of Wight having a fantastic time doing lots of cool and fun activities and enjoying being together away from school. So far we’ve done la bowling, sand castle competition, fossil hunting, going to the Osborne house and just having fun.Im sharing a room with Ashleigh and Mejd. Inside are two bunk beds, an ensuite bathroom with a massive shower and wardrobes and drawers.The weather has been ok but that doesn’t spoil any of the fun because we’ve got each other.well all be home soon so don’t miss us tooo much!see ya, bye xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

We are now at the Isle of Wight and having fun and we still have days to go. The most exciting day was:TUESDAY. We woke up had breakfast and we were off. First was the journey to Osborne House. When we got there it was raining and it rained the whole time (what a bother!)The time is now 7:05 and we are about to set off to go bowling we really cant wait and we might even get back around 10ish or so and plus tomorow we are going go- carting .by Alice and Anayah

Well we all arrived safely and had a fantastic night sleep. All the children enjoyed the D day museum. We had our Sand Sculpture Competition last night. Weather not looking so good today. We will write more later and hopefully add some photos.
